Positions of strandings are taken on site with GPS devices/apps or are identified through google maps. When the exact location of stranding is not known, the central point on the coast of the municipality, where the specimen was found, is used. SZN collects all information regarding the strandings and sightings of dead or alive marine turtles in the Campania Region. SZN raccoglie tutte le informazioni riguardanti gli spiaggiamenti e gli avvistamenti di tartarughe marine vive o morte nella Regione Campania. I dati vengono comunicati attraverso una rete collaborativa e dagli uffici delle guardie costiere competenti a livello locale. Le posizioni degli spiaggiamenti vengono rilevate in loco con dispositivi/app GPS o identificate tramite google maps. Quando non si conosce l'esatta ubicazione dello spiaggiamento, viene utilizzato il punto centrale della costa del comune, in cui l’esemplare è rinvenuto.
