La caratterizzazione del segmento della pesca artigianale e la mappatura delle zone di pesca in prossimità delle 4 Aree Marine Protette (AMP: Regno di Nettuno, Punta Campanella, Santa Maria di Castellabate e Costa degli Infreschi e della Masseta) della GFCM GSA10 è stato effettuata attraverso l'utilizzo di un un approccio partecipativo . I dati sono stati raccolti da Pietro Battaglia e Antonio Di Cintio attraverso interviste individuali semi-strutturate faccia a faccia con i pescatori e le informazioni spaziali raccolte sono state digitalizzate da Pamela Lattanzi. Queste sono state poi elaborate da Pamela Lattanzi e Anna Nora Tassetti in QGIS aggregando i dati raccolti su una griglia standardizzata di 1kmx1km, consentendo la valutazione dello sforzo di pesca (in giornate di pesca) in base agli attrezzi utilizzati.
